Unstuck: How to Move Past Your Writing Fears
Friday, February 12, 2021
1-2:30 pm EST via Zoom
Michelle Boyd of Inkwell Writing Retreats is offering a free writing workshop, and Corridor faculty and graduate students are welcome to participate. Are you stuck in your writing but can’t figure out how to move forward? Do you spend hours on the same few sentences, only to toss them out at the end of your writing session? Are you so worried about what your advisor/reviewer/colleagues will think about your argument that you can’t even bring yourself to get it down on paper? Don’t stay stuck! More info
Demystifying NEH Grants and Programs
Friday, March 19, 2021
10-11:30 am EST via Zoom
Join us for a discussion with program officers from the National Endowment for the Humanities as they share insights about how to successfully navigate the NEH’s many different opportunities.
LaQuanda Walters Cooper and Julia Nguyen (Education Division) and Hannah Alpert-Abrams (Office of Digital Humanities) will provide an overview of how to find your way through the NEH’s different programs, offer tips on applying, explain their peer review process, and answer your questions during Q&A. This session will help you understand the ins and outs of applying for NEH opportunities, how to identify the best NEH support for your project, and how to develop the strongest application possible.
Note: Registration now closed for these two events.
