Zine Workshop and Small Press Panel Discussion
About This Event
The Central New York Humanities Corridor Small Press Reading Series (LLC24) is happy to present a hands-on zine making workshop followed by a panel discussion on small press publishing and zines. Both events are free and open to the public. There will be light refreshments available between the two events. Registration is limited and required.

Leah Stacy is the editor-in-chief of CITY magazine, associate producer of Rochester Cocktail Revival, cofounder of the lit magazine LILAC., and a graduate of Syracuse University's Newhouse School. In previous lives, she worked as editor-in-chief of (585) magazine, a college media professor, marketing and content director for restaurant groups, beverage copywriter for national brands, and director of public relations for Rochester Fringe Festival. She lives in the Neighborhood of the Arts with two orange Maine Coons and plans her travel around dining and theatre experiences.
Tate Shaw is an artist, writer, publisher, and curator living in Rochester, NY. His books are in international art library collections including the Tate Modern, London, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago Joan Flasch Artists’ Books Collection, Yale Special Collections, and the George Eastman Museum Library, amongst others. His writing has appeared in a collection of essays on books by artists Blurred Library (2017), Rereading Empathy (2022), JAB: the Journal of Artists’ Books, The Blue Notebook, Aperture’s Photobook Review, Afterimage: the Journal of Media Arts and Cultural Criticism, and other journals and catalog publications. He is the Editor of Visual Studies Workshop Press, the Director of Tower Fine Arts Gallery, and Associate Professor at SUNY Brockport.
Megan Magee Sullivan is the Director of Printmaking & Book Arts at Flower City Arts Center and provides space and equipment for Rochester artists to commune and create. Her work combines text and images using a range of technologies from letterpress to Risograph resulting in zines, books, and various unbound structures.
