Ghost Factory and Hidden Stories: A Performance and Installation by Bridgman|Packer Dance
About This Event
Known for their innovative integration of choreography and video technology that explodes the partnering form into a magically populated stage where image and reality collide, Bridgman|Packer will present Ghost Factory. This work is inspired by the vast former factories and the residents of Johnson City, NY, a factory city not unlike Rochester, NY. The performance in the Smith Theater at the Sloan Performing Arts Center will take place Friday, Oct. 25 at 7:30pm. In conjunction with the performance, there will be an audio/visual installation, Places With Hidden Stories, in the Sloan Performing Arts Center lobby starting at 6:30pm, revealing oral histories from residents of Joseph Avenue in Rochester. The exhibit is free and open to the public, and the performance is ticketed ($15 + fees for general admission, Free for UR students with ID).
