Digital Storytelling and Alternative Institutional Histories: Zoom Workshop with Rebecca Wingo and Ariel Beaujot

About This Event

The CNY Humanities Corridor working group "Digital Humanities in Practice” continues its year-long workshop series on digital storytelling and project building (with a focus on issues of marginalization, representation, and allyship) with a workshop on "Collecting Oral Histories and Creating Digital Projects,” led by Rebecca Wingo (Assistant Professor of History and Director of Public History at the University of Cincinnati) and Ariel Beaujot (Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin—La Crosse). In this workshop, Wingo and Beaujot will discuss their experiences with using digital technologies to tell the histories of underrepresented populations, facilitating a conversation about how researchers can serve as allies of historically and institutionally marginalized communities.
