Book Discussion on Dear Black Girl: Letters From Your Sisters on Stepping Into Your Power
About This Event
We will host a virtual book talk to discuss Dear Black Girl: Letters From Your Sisters on Stepping Into Your Power by Tamara Winfrey-Harris (Berrett-Koehler Publishers, 2021). In Dear Black Girl, Winfrey-Harris organizes a selection of these letters, providing "a balm for the wounds of anti-Black-girlness" and modeling how Black women can nurture future generations. Winfrey-Harris will join us virtually for a dialogue focused on engaging in intergenerational healing and work amongst Black women and Black girls.
