Art Exhibition Viewing and Community Lunch

About This Event

The Working Group will host an art exhibit viewing and community lunch meeting at the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art in Ithaca, New York, where Nydia Blas' exhibit (entitled “Love, You Came from Greatness”) will be on display beginning on August 13, 2023. This art exhibit will be a springboard for participants to consider the role of family, history, and home in shaping our understanding of our Black girlhoods. The Working Group will tour the arts and cultural space and utilize the exhibit on display as a guide in conversations on Black girlhood.
